Owls Roll Past Sweet Briar, 15–2, at Hank Steinbrecher

SWANNANOA, N.C. – The Warren Wilson women's lacrosse team delivered a commanding performance on Saturday afternoon, defeating Sweet Briar College 15–2 at the Hank Steinbrecher Sports Complex.

The Owls set the tone immediately, erupting for eight goals in the opening quarter to take full control of the contest. Warren Wilson continued to apply pressure on both ends of the field, carrying a 12–0 advantage into halftime and limiting Sweet Briar's offensive opportunities throughout the day.

Sydney Weber led the attack with six goals and one assist, while Callie Aerni matched the six-goal performance. Eden Gfeller added one goal and four assists, helping facilitate the Owls' balanced scoring effort. Vera Dorsey contributed two goals in the win.

Defensively, Warren Wilson stayed organized and disciplined, allowing just two goals across four quarters. Goalkeeper Madison Date recorded five saves in net to anchor the defensive effort.

The Owls controlled possession and dictated pace from the opening draw, maintaining momentum through the final whistle.

Warren Wilson will look to carry that momentum into its next matchup as the season continues.
