Box Score The Lady Owls traveled to #1 Johnson & Wales for quarterfinals action in the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference and fell 59-51. The two teams struggled in the first quarter, combining for 15 turnovers, while going just 7 of 33 from the field. Johnson and Wales held a 11 point halftime lead that would eventually balloon to 19 points in the first few minutes of the third quarter. The Lady Owls responded with a 24-7 spurt over the next nine minutes to trim the lead to just two, 39-37 at the end of the third quarter. The Owls scored the first four points of the fourth to lead for the first time in the game. The game remained a one possession spread either way until there was just over a minute left. Unfortunately the Owls were unable to pull off the upset and ended their season 8-16 on the year. Moosie Lewis led the Owls with 18 points. Niya Black followed her with 12 points. Daymon Hinkelman also reached double digits with 10 points. Sam Hoyle and Niya Black both pulled down 11 rebounds. "This was by far one of our best defensive nights, it's unfortunate we couldn't get more shots to fall. It says alot to still be in a game when you have over 20 turnovers and go 0-14 from 3 pt line. I am so proud of how we finished. There is a lot to build off of for next season," said Coach Martin.
