SWANNANOA, NC - The Warren Wilson College women's basketball team dropped a 74–60 decision to Pensacola Christian on January 10 at Devries Athletic Gymnasium in Swannanoa.
Pensacola Christian opened the game with a strong first half, building a 41–24 lead through the opening two quarters. Warren Wilson responded with its best stretch in the third quarter, outscoring the visitors 20–15, but was unable to fully close the gap as Pensacola Christian maintained its advantage into the final period.
Ori Galloway led the Owls with 18 points while playing 37 minutes, adding seven rebounds, four assists, and six steals in an active all-around performance. Ellie Martin followed with 12 points, and Twig Barnes provided a lift off the bench with 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting.
Warren Wilson generated 17 fast-break points and finished with 18 points off turnovers, continuing to apply defensive pressure throughout the game. The Owls also converted 13-of-20 attempts from the free-throw line.
