Box Score

Swannanoa, N.C. - The Lady Owls returned to their winning ways with a convincing 112-52 win over conference foe Mid-Atlantic Christian University.

The Owls started the game with a explosive first quarter, taking a 31-7 lead. Their defense set the tone with 16 steals and they also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Mustangs 52-17. The Owls capitalized on second chance opportunities and baskets in transition.

Danielle Hinkelman lead the Owls with a season high 18 points on 8-9 shooting from the field. Danasia Dumas followed her with 15. Kalie Mayo, Asia Caldwell, and Amber Godfrey finished with 14, 11, and 10, respectively.

"I asked them to set the tone early and they did that. We are in control right now of our chances for post season play and we need to have wins like this. Every game left is key for us and we need to come out with this same energy and confidence," stated head coach Robin Martin.

The Owls are back in action Monday as they host Toccoa Falls College. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 P.M.
