Women's Basketball falls to Montreat

Box Score

The Lady Owls opened their 2019-2020 season with a loss at home to local rival Montreat 71-57.  The Owls struggled offensively the first half and went into halftime down 16.  The Owl would outscore Montreat in the second half but could only cut Montreat's lead down to 6 in the fourth quarter.  "We had moments of really great stuff on both ends of the floor, but we struggled to be consistent. It's our first game so you can expect that inconsistency.  We have a lot to build on," Coach Davis said about the game. The Lady Owls were led by Junior, Asia Caldwell who had 15pts.  Junior Kalie Mayo followed up with 12pts.
