The short-handed Owls fight hard winning twice this weekend in Elizabeth City, NC.

Warren Wilson came to the Lady Mustangs Showcase at Mid-Atlantic Christian University needing road wins and picked up a pair: Thursday the Owls took down Davis College 58-37 and beat the host, MACU, on Saturday by a 58-37 score.

The Owls also lost on Friday to a tough USCAA DI program, Florida College 79-53.

In the win Thursday the Owls trailed a defensive battle 29-28 early in the second half and used a 28-4 run to pull away from the Falcons. On Saturday the Owls trailed the Mustangs early 2-0 but led for the rest of the game. The Owls used a fast-break Saturday to take down the tired Mustangs for the second time this season and the fourth time overall.

Warren Wilson improves to 11-9 on the season and 5-4 against USCAA opponents. The Owls will head back to Asheville tonight to ready for Tennessee Temple. The Owls battle the Crusaders in another must-win Monday at DeVries, part of a double header that tips at 5:00 pm.
