Owls improve to 5-5 on the season and 4-1 at home as they cruse past MACU 71-53.
The game started strong on the offensive end for both teams as the Owls and Mustangs both shot over 60% in the first eight minutes of the game. In the first half there were a total of nine lead changes but the Owls finished the end of the half strong and went into the locker room with its biggest lead of the afternoon at 39-32.
MACU scored the first five points of the second half to close the Owls lead to two at 39-37, however that would be as close as the Mustangs would get. MACU cooled off and the Owls were able to force 11 steals in the game which helped the Owls push the lead out to as many as 19 in the second half en route to the victory.
The Owls shot 44% from the field compared to 33% for the Mustangs. Warren Wilson also had the rebounding edge 37-34 and took care of the ball with just 10 turnovers in the game.
Warren Wilson was led by Jacina Hall and T'Shea Glenn who both had 18 points a piece on a combined 13-29 shooting. Lilvia Bradbury also finished with 14 points on 5-9 shooting to pace the Owls.
Warren Wilson is at .500 on the season and 4-1 at home. They will be back in action Tuesday when they host Toccoa Falls at 7:00 pm.
