Owls win-streak hits four as Warren Wilson takes care of the Sabers 65-60.
Tonight's game was delayed due to a small fire inside DeVries, however it was the Owls who provided the real heat as Warren Wilson shot 8-23 from behind the arc. The Owls were agressive on offense drawing several fouls on the Sabers. Warren Wilson finished 21-28 from the free throw stripe in the win, compared to just 6-10 from the stripe for Baber-Scotia.
The game was back and forth until the second half, when the Owls used a 13-3 run to go up by 10, thanks to a Tashi Oglesby three pointer with 12:10 to go in the game. The Sabers would battle back to make the game interesting, but the Owls free throw shooting sealed the victory.
Four players scored in double figures for the Owls, led by Oglesby who had a season-best 15 points on 6-13 shooting. Lilvia Bradbury and Keila McCurry each had 13 points and T'Shea Glenn added 10 points. The Owls hit the boards well in the game, finishing +5 in rebounding.
Warren Wilson has now won four in a row and five of six. Warren Wilson faces their toughest home challenge yet on Sunday against Concordia-Selma. Game time is 2:00 pm. Come out and cheer for the Owls and also have a chance to win prizes and cash!
