Asheville, NC - The Warren Wilson women's basketball team shot just 28 percent from the field in falling to Pensacola Christian 71-43 on Monday night.
Pensacola opened the game on an 8-0 run and led 18-5 with 8:00 remaining in the first half. Four straight points by Lilvia Bradbury helped spark a 10-3 Owl run to end the half narrowing the Pensacola lead to 30-22.
Pensacola would pick up right where it left off in the second half extending the lead to 54-32 nine minutes in. Jacina Hall and Dani Henderson connected on back to back three point field goals to cut into the lead but the Owls could not get enough stops to get back in the game.
Warren Wilson was outrebounded 45-33 on the night and shot just five for 27 from three-point range. Bradbury finished with 12 points and seven rebounds to lead the Owls.
Warren Wilson looks to get back on the winning track on Friday at Hollins University.
