Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two days after winning its Blackout Game, Warren Wilson carried momentum on the road and earned a gritty 86–78 victory over Greensboro on Sunday afternoon, completing a back-to-back sweep and matching last year's win total in the season's opening week.
The Owls improved to 2–1 behind a balanced offensive effort and a composed finish in a sold-out, hostile environment at Hanes Gymnasium. After gaining control late in the first half, Warren Wilson never trailed again.
Junior guard
Jordan Moore led the Owls with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, earning Game MVP honors for his timely scoring and steady leadership offensively. Moore repeatedly answered Greensboro runs with strong drives and efficient finishing going 8-of-13 from the field.
Sophomore guard
Tajh Williams, fresh off his MVP performance against Brevard, followed with 24 points, including four made threes. He continued his strong early-season form, scoring in transition, off the dribble, and from deep.
Against Greensboro's imposing 6'9", 6'7", and 6'6" frontcourt, Warren Wilson's interior play rose to the challenge.
Archie Evans and Nasir Cotton combined for 10 rebounds and anchored a physical defensive effort that limited second-chance opportunities. Their toughness neutralized Greensboro's size advantage and allowed the Owls' guards to control tempo.
Warren Wilson shot 54.1% from the field and 44.4% from three, while forcing 13 turnovers that led to 15 points. The bench added 27 points, giving the Owls the depth needed to close out a demanding weekend.
With the win, Warren Wilson heads into this week with confidence — and with a chance to surpass last year's win total before Thanksgiving.
