Box Score The Lady Owls drop to 0-4 with a 74-56 loss to Southern Virginia University. The Owls put together a strong first quarter and third quarter but couldn't overcome the 14 point deficit they faced at halftime. The closest the Owls were able to get was 8 during the second half. Senior Malaka Elix led the Owls with 11 points. Freshman Tatyana Lewis followed her with 9 points. Sam Hoyle led the Owls defensive effort with 3 charges and 9 rebounds. The Owls shot a dismal 8-23 from the foul line. "We did a much better job taking care of the basketball tonight, but we are still rushing to many shots on offense. We shot 30% from everywhere to night and it's hard to win with that percentage," said Coach Martin. The Lady Owls take on SC Faith A&M on March, 13.
