Offensive Woes Lead to Loss at Montreat

Box Score

The Lady Owls traveled to local rival Montreat and fell 77-60.  The Owls went into halftime with a 7pt edge but struggled to hit the net in the third quarter.  The Cavaliers outscored the Owls 27-9 in the third quarter.  For the second straight game, the Owls had multiple players in double digits. Kalie Mayo leads the way with 16points on 4-9 from the 3pt line.  Kj Mckoy followed her with 12 and Malaka Elix had 10.  Warren Wilson was able to force 19 turnovers but lost the rebounding margin by 18.  "We were very short-handed tonight but I am proud of how several players stepped up.  We still have a long season ahead of us and are getting things right on both ends of the floor, we just need to finish games.  The last two games we held leads but had one quarter where we couldn't hit shots," said Head Coach Robin Davis.
