Anderson, S.C. - The men's basketball team travled to South Carolina to face the Trojans of Anderson Unviersity and came up short, falling 56-53. The Owls came out hot and took a 14-7 lead. After a 4 minute scoring drought, the Owls found themselves behind 18-14. Going into halftime the Owls were down 30-28. The second half was very similar to the first, with both team's struggling to find offense. Down the stretch the Owls took the lead, but they were unable to hold on for victory.
The Owls were lead in scoring and rebounding by Tyler Triplett, who was two rebounds shy of a double-double, finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Devin Davis had a strong night as well, finishing with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
The Owls are back in action January 13th against Johnson and Wales University. Tipoff is at 7:30 P.M.
