Women's Cross Country

Cross-Country Continues To Improve At Yeti Invitational

The Yeti Invitational this weekend was a last-minute addition to the Owls' schedule after a cancelation of a scheduled meet a few weeks away. Both the men's and women's teams rallied to compete like true champions!

The men, led once again by Henry Berta (29:37), finished in 5th place as a team on the 8k course. Both Zack Schaumburg and Willy Cox (dual-sport athletes – Men's Lacrosse) ran away with PR's (32:35 and 34:12, respectively). To complete the 5-person team, Evan Aronson finished in 33:15 and Sam Kobylarz ran 42:01.

The women ran well as a pack to a 4th place team finish in the 5k distance – just 19 points out of 2nd. Freshman Rah Juhlin edged senior teammate Kayla Schwartz to go 1 - 2 for the Owls (both finishing in 25:50). Also scoring for the women were Marlise Pedisich, Tabitha McBrayer, and Val Dorries (25:55, 26:09, and 26:26). Running 6th and 7th for the Owls were Ella Tatro and Aila Givins (26:30 and 27:34). The Owls look forward to their next meet at the Maryville College Cross Country Invitational next Saturday, 9/30. Go Owls!
