Owls Run in the Coast-to-Coast Athletics Conference Championships

The Owls' women and three of our men competed in the C2C Conference Championships at WinterPlace Park, Salisbury, MD.

The women raced first over a 6K course with senior Miriam Kadens taking four minutes and 27 seconds of her previous 6K best for a new PR time of 24:45.  Sydney Harris raced her first 6K finishing in 29:24, with Dora Chaison-Lapine close behind running 29:37.  Gen Lopez had her best race of the season finishing in 30:01, with Rosa Koehnlein hot on her heels at 30:11.  Sophomore Kayla Schwartz finished her season off with a time of 32:56.

The men ran an 8K course with Sophomore Trevor Nail having another strong race lowering his PR to 27:09.  Freshman, Henry Berta, continued to improve and ran a new PR as well, finishing in 29:14.  Senior Seth Walker, recovering from an ankle sprain, put in a solid effort to run 37:14.  Coach Hills commented that "It's been really nice to come up here with these runners and to see the effort they put into their running. The host Salisbury did a great job and it's a nice course."  The Owls cross country is finished for the year and the runners are looking forward to a nice rest and a little more free time.
