The Owls competed in their 5th and final race of the cross country season this past Friday, October 6th. Capping off their seasons' ends both teams met the requirements for NCAA sponsorship.
Leading the men's team to a 23rd place finish,
Henry Berta covered the 8k course in 29:46.
Aidan Saunders was second in 31:47. Finishing 3rd through 6th for the Owls were
Evan Aronson, Zack Schaumburg, Willy Cox, and
Sam Kobylarz.
The women's team was paced once again by Weronika Svojak, running a lifetime 5k best of 21:59. Second and Third for the Owls were Hailey Ripley in Ella Tatro (24:34 and 25:16, respectively). Rounding out the top 5 were
Val Dorries and
Aila Givins (25:32 and 26:09). Both ran lifetime PR's with Givins' time notably a minute and 25 seconds faster than her previous best.
Marlise Pedisich and
Tabitha McBrayer finished 6th and 7th to complete the women's team. They placed 21st in the large field.

Although the Owls' regular season has come to a close, they will host the inaugural Warren Wilson Farm Harvest 5k on October 21st! Come on out, for fitness sake, and support the Owls in this exciting event!
