The Fighting Owls men's cross country team finished off a successful season with a second place team finish at the USCAA Fall Championships.  Senior Eric Vanderford had another great race and placed 2nd overall finishing the 8K course in 27:24, elevating him into the All-American First Team.  Fellow senior Julian Rohn-Capellaro also ran well placing 9th overall to make it into the Second Team All American for the season. Next in for the Owls was freshman Felix Snider with an 18th placing at the championship in a time of 30:43.  Injured freshman Trevor Nail showed a lot of fortitude to push through the pain and run a solid 31:37 for the team with junior Seth Walker hot on his heels running 31:48.  Sophomore Allen Stageman ran his first ever 8K to help the team out, finishing in 34:57.

The Owls women had four runners at the championships with junior Miriam Kadens running the 6K course in 29:12 to take 16th place overall. Sophomore Lucy Crayton ran herself into 22nd place with her 31:12 time and freshman Helena Marmolejos was close behind finishing in 31:17.  Freshman Tabitha McBrayer finished her season off with a solid 33:22 run.  Coach Hills said "I am proud of all the runners today.  Everyone gave it their best shot in both races, and it was great to see how excited Eric and the men's team were with their second place trophies."
