The Warren Wilson Lady Owls opened up the season against the Greensboro College Pride with a spectacular comeback victory. The Pride came out strong as they scored two goals early in the first half. The Owls continued to press on and scored early in the second half when senior Bianca Canizio found the back of the net from fellow senior captain Marisa Romeo. In the 57th minute freshman India Little-Dula scored her first collegiate goal to tie the score at 2-2. An own goal in the 77th minute by the Pride from an Owl corner kick gave the Owls the score they needed to seal the victory.

Senior goalkeeper Clare Williams finished the day with 10 saves and made some tremendous, Clare-esque saves to keep the Pride at bay.

The Lady Owls are back in action this Saturday as they host Hiwassee College at 1:00 PM. Make sure you are in attendance to support your Fighting Lady Owls!
