ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Warren Wilson College freshman goalkeeper Connor Mackinlay-Barish has been named the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week following a strong opening week in goal for the Owls.

Mackinlay-Barish posted a 1-0-1 record in his first two collegiate appearances, allowing just one goal while making seven saves. The freshman made his Warren Wilson debut against Greensboro College, recording two saves as the Owls battled to a 1-1 draw. Mackinlay-Barish followed with an even stronger performance against Berea College. He turned away all five shots he faced to record his first collegiate shutout and help Warren Wilson secure a 1-0 victory. The conference honor is the first of Mackinlay-Barish's collegiate career.

The clean sheet also marked Mackinlay-Barish's first career win in goal for the Owls. Over his two appearances, Mackinlay-Barish surrendered just one goal while totaling seven saves and a .875 save percentage.
