SWANNANOA, NC - On February 15, 2025, the Warren Wilson College Owls faced a challenging match against Mount Vernon Nazarene University, resulting in a 25-4 defeat. The game commenced with Mount Vernon establishing a strong lead, scoring 7 goals in the first quarter and 8 in the second, while the Owls were unable to find the net in the first half.
In the third quarter, Warren Wilson's offense gained momentum, with sophomore attacker Jayshawn Bruce scoring two goals. Freshman midfielder Everett Grube added another goal in the fourth quarter, bringing the Owls' total to three. Despite these efforts, Mount Vernon continued their offensive dominance, securing 5 goals in each of the final two quarters.
