FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Warren Wilson College men's basketball team earned a 77–72 victory over Methodist University on December 6 at the March F. Riddle Center, using a strong second half to secure the road win.
The game featured tight margins throughout, with Methodist holding a slim 34–33 advantage at halftime. Warren Wilson responded after the break, outscoring the Monarchs 44–38 in the second half while converting key free throws down the stretch.
Tajh Williams led the Owls with 18 points, adding six rebounds and steady production at the free-throw line. Daniel Smith followed with 12 points and eight rebounds, while José Maria Palacios scored 13 points off the bench, including timely perimeter shooting. Isaac Allen also finished with 12 points, six rebounds, and four steals, contributing on both ends of the floor.
Warren Wilson finished with 41 rebounds and scored 18 second-chance points. The Owls also received 41 points from the bench and went 23-for-31 from the free-throw line, helping maintain control in the closing minutes.
Methodist was led by Dontavious Pettaway with 21 points, while KJ Brooks added 14. The Monarchs shot 30.1 percent from the field, with Warren Wilson's defensive pressure limiting second-half efficiency.
