BREVARD, N.C. — The Warren Wilson College men's basketball team came up just short in an 86–84 contest against Brevard College on November 24 at Boshamer Gymnasium.
The game featured multiple lead changes and tight margins throughout. Brevard held a slim 45–44 edge at halftime, and neither team led by more than a few possessions over the final 20 minutes as the game remained within reach until the final seconds.
Tajh Williams delivered a standout performance for the Owls, finishing with 30 points on 11-of-20 shooting, along with 10 rebounds. Daniel Smith added nine points and four assists, while Archie Evans contributed nine points off the bench. Jordan Moore chipped in eight points and five assists, and José Maria Palacios knocked down two three-pointers as part of a six-point effort.
Warren Wilson shot 52.5 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from three-point range, scoring 40 points in the paint and adding 17 fast-break points. The Owls also received strong bench production, totaling 37 points from reserves.
Brevard was led by Twain Wilson with 27 points, while KK Horton added 17. The Tornados converted 20 free throws and connected on 12 three-pointers, with several coming in key moments late in the game.
