SWANNANOA, N.C. — Warren Wilson women's basketball hosted undefeated Guilford College on Wednesday evening inside Devries Gymnasium, battling through a challenging first quarter before settling in and trading runs with one of the ODAC's top teams.
Guilford opened the game with a 30-point first quarter behind hot perimeter shooting and strong rebounding, but the Owls responded with steady improvement across the remaining three periods — outscoring the Quakers 16–11 in the third and matching them point-for-point in the fourth.

The Owls also held the Quakers to just 11 points in the third quarter — their lowest-scoring period of the night — showing the effectiveness of WWC's defensive adjustments after halftime.
Looking Ahead
The Owls continue their homestand later this week as they face another non-conference test, aiming to build on their strong second-half defensive performance and continued scoring balance.
