DECATUR, GA – The Warren Wilson women's basketball team battled to a well-earned 63-57 victory over Agnes Scott on Wednesday evening at the Woodruff Activities Building. The Owls showcased determination and teamwork to claim their second win of the season.
Ellie Martin led the charge for Warren Wilson with 19 points, including three three-pointers and four steals. Moosie Lewis added 16 points and five steals, demonstrating her defensive prowess. Weronika Swojak made her presence felt in the paint, securing a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
The Owls established an early lead with a strong first quarter, outscoring the Scotties 17-11. Agnes Scott responded in the second, narrowing the gap, but Warren Wilson regained momentum in the third with an 18-point effort. The team's defensive pressure and ability to capitalize on second-chance opportunities proved crucial down the stretch.
