DAVIDSON, NC - Warren Wilson College put on an impressive performance at the NCAA Draft Legal Women's Triathlon held at Lake Davidson, finishing 9th overall in a highly competitive field. The event, which featured top collegiate triathletes from across the nation, was led by Queens University, who took first place with 317 points.
Leading the way for Warren Wilson was Elena Wheeler, who delivered a strong individual showing with a finishing time of 1:31:25. Close behind was Sydney Weber, crossing the line in 1:32:51, followed by Lola Hewitt, who completed the course in 1:36:14. Their combined efforts earned the Owls 62 points, placing them 9th overall.
In Division III competition, Warren Wilson secured a commendable 2nd place finish, just behind Guilford College. Greensboro College rounded out the top three in the division standings.
The Owls will now set their sights on the Robious Park Landing Cup in Virginia on September 29th, where they'll look to build on this momentum and continue their strong start to the season.
