The Owls hosted the Sweet Briar College Vixens on Sunday, October 8th for a 1pm kickoff. It was a gorgeous fall day, perfect for a soccer match. The Owls and Vixens were scoreless at half-time; both teams tallying shots on goal.

The Owls scored first in the second half with a goal from senior defender, Rebecca Owen. Owen lofted a shot into the side netting off her own corner kick rebound. The Vixens fought back to tie it up 1-1. The Owls continued to pursue the net with an additional goal from senior center back and captain, Ivy Fitzsimmons. Fitzsimmons found the back of the net off a direct set piece from right outside the penalty box. Within minutes the Vixens matched the Owls to tie the game 2-2.

The Owls hit the road for their next game after returning from fall break on Monday, October 16th at Brevard College.
