Rob Palmer joined the Warren Wilson College men’s basketball staff in 2025 as an Assistant Coach. A proven program builder with over a decade of experience in player development, recruiting, and analytics, Palmer brings a deep background in both basketball operations and sports business leadership.
Before arriving at Warren Wilson, Palmer served as President and Athletics Director at Queen City Prep Academy and President of Phenom Scholars, a Puma Circuit program known for producing collegiate talent and hosting national-level events. He also founded KingPin Sportz a organization that partnered with Body Armor and NFL Flag (now USA Flag Football) while hosting large-scale tournaments and showcase events across the Southeast.
Outside of coaching, Palmer has worked as a Senior Project Manager for Weather Guard Roofing and Restoration, overseeing multimillion-dollar commercial and residential accounts. His combined experience in leadership, organization, and talent development has been instrumental in helping young athletes grow both on and off the court.
A native of Hamden, Connecticut, Palmer resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife and family.
