Box Score SWANNANOA, N.C. — The Warren Wilson College men's basketball team fell to Methodist University, 77–60, on November 11 inside DeVries Athletic Gymnasium.
Methodist jumped out to an early advantage and carried a 41–20 lead into halftime. The Owls responded with a much improved second half, outscoring the Monarchs 40–36 over the final 20 minutes, but the early deficit proved difficult to erase.
Tajh Williams led Warren Wilson with 21 points, shooting 8-for-12 from the field and knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. Asheton Glass added 10 points and four rebounds, while Nasir Cotton and Archie Evans finished with six points apiece.
Methodist was paced by Tre' Williams and Sean O'Connor, who scored 14 points each. Ron Jones added 11 points and five assists, and Xavion White provided a boost off the bench with 10 points on perfect shooting.
Warren Wilson finished the game shooting 40.7 percent from the field and matched Methodist with 15 second-chance points. The Monarchs capitalized at the free-throw line, going 22-for-28 in the contest.
The Owls will be back in action on November 14 as they host Brevard College in a home doubleheader.
