Owls Fall On The Road To Division 2 Foe

DUE WEST, SC - Both the Warren Wilson Owls and the Erskine Flying Fleet got out to great starts in Tuesday's clash. Fueled by perfect shooting, Erskine was able to take an early 13-10 lead.

After the hot start, both teams cooled off but the Owls faltered first with a series of turnovers to give the Flying Fleet a double digit lead. After a pair of Owl threes to cut the lead to six, the Fleet answered with a couple threes of their own to regain distance before ultimately extending their halftime lead to 19.

By the time the Owls were able to right the ship, it was too late and the Fleet were able ride their 31 points off turnovers to a comfortable victory.

The Owls look to bounce back tomorrow, Wednesday January 10, with the first of three straight home games on consecutive days. Not only will the Owls be looking to get back in the win column, the Owls will also be hoping to re-add three players that suffered injuries in the Erskine game. Tashaun Simpson, Jason Hines, and Marcus Andrews all got nicked up and ate looking to bounce back for the Owls three game home stand.
