The Owls hosted Methodist University on Saturday, September 16th for a 1pm kickoff. This was the Owl's Pride Game. The Owls Pride Game is for the celebration of all identities, orientations, and expressions of all individuals. Diversity makes us all stronger and the Owls are proud to support and celebrate all members of the LGBQTIA+ community.
It was a tough game for the Owls as they battled injury alongside a very strong Methodist team. The Monarchs were up 5-0 at the half and finished the game notching an impressive 10 goals.
The Owls maintained an incredible spirit and worked hard for the entirety of the 90 minutes with an effort to be proud of. Coach Heather said this about the game, "This was a tough game from minute 1 to 90. I have never been more proud to coach this team and this group of individuals. They battled every minute and gave their full effort. That's all you can ask for. They showed such integrity and grit during this game. I am happy to be an Owl."
The Owls travel to Toccoa Falls College on Thursday, September 21st.
