SWANNANOA, NC – Despite a strong performance in the second half against a quality Guilford College side, the Owls fell 3-0 to the Quakers on Sunday afternoon. 

The first half featured all the goals as the Quakers tallied in the 16th, 25th, and 37th minutes to provide the margin of victory.

Playing their second game of the season and their second game in three days, the Owls continued to show why there is much to be excited about for the season.  Head Coach Mathes Mennell talked about the growth in his young side, stating, "We absolutely improved today against a very good ODAC team in Guilford. I was very pleased with the improvements we made from Friday and I am very excited to see us play against Brevard on Wednesday."

Freshman goalkeeper Parker Davis turned in a strong performance as he came into game at halftime. Davis made two saves on four shots faced and did not allow a goal. 

The Owls are back in action on Wednesday as they welcome Brevard College. Kickoff from the Hank Steinbrecher Family Athletic Complex is set for 5 p.m. EST and will be streamed on WWW.WARRENWILSONOWLS.COM
