Owls Start Season Hot with Win

Box Score

The Lady Owls opened up the 2021-2022 season with a 64-56 win over Bob Jone University.  The Owls started the game on a 8-0 fueled by great defensive pressure.  The Owls would never give up their lead for the rest of the night. Led on offense by Senior Daymon Hinkelman who had 14 points. Freshman McKenzie Lakey in her debut for the Owls had 12 points. Kana Parker rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points of her own as well as dishing out 5 assists. The Lady Owls had eight players put points on the board and finished with a team total of 20 assists. "This was a great defensive game for us. They hustled for the full forty minutes. I am so proud of the way our upperclassman set the tone and how our freshmen followed right behind. We have so much depth on this team that it is really exciting to see so many players make their own impact," Coach Davis had to say about the game. The Lady Owls return to action on Saturday, when they travel to take on Carolina University.
