Lady Owls rally to defeat Salem College

Box Score

The Lady Owls traveled to Salem College and came away with a 58-55 win.  The Owls found themselves down most of the game but used an explosive 26 point fourth quarter to take the lead and the win.  "We struggled to match Salem's energy, it took us until the fourth quarter to decide we wanted to play.  We can not let our offensive struggles dictate our defensive effort," said Head Coach Robin Davis. For the first time in the 2019-2020 campaign, the Owls had three players in double digits.  Danielle Hinkelmand recorded her first double-double of the season and led the Owls with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Kalie Mayo followed with 13 and Asia Caldwell had 12.  Sophomore, Sam Hoyle had a breakout defensive game securing 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.
