Swannanoa, N.C. - The Warren Wilson women's basketball team defeated Salem College at home tonight, 80-64. With the win, the Owls are 10-9 on the season.
The Warren Wilson women's basketball team wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, playing full of intensity and energy. Quick in transition, the Owls capitalized by scoring 10 points off turnovers and led at one point by 27 points in the first half. Danasia Dumas added an impressive 16 points leading the Owls into half-time, 44-Â17.
The Spirirts would surge back and outscore the Owls in the third quarter (27-19) but in the end it would not be enough as the Owls went on to win 80-64.
The Owls were led by Danasia Dumas who put up 23 points and 4 rebounds, followed by Lilvia Bradbury with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Lindsay Bodnar put in another strong performance earning 12 points and 8 assists. Amber Godfrey also added 14 points and 3 rebounds.
The Owls shots 50% from the floor (34-68) and 80% from the 3-point (4-5).
