Owls take care of Wiliam Peace Friday before falling to NC Wesleyan Sunday afternoon.
For the second time in the young season the Owls embarked on a two game in three day road trip. On Friday night the Owls traveled to William Peace where they beat the Pacers 2-0.
Bianca Canizio scored both goals in the victory over the Pacers. Canizio started the scoring early against William Peace, putting a shot in from 18 in the 4th minute to make it 1-0. In the 52nd minute Kat Camara found Canizio who again was able to beat Pacers keeper Shannon Maddex to make it 2-0. The Owls outshot the Pacers 12-8 with Canizio accounting for six of the shots for Wilson.
On Sunday the Owls battled the Bishops in a tight contest before falling 3-0. It was a close first half but NC Wesleyan was finally able to beat Owls keeper Clare Williams on a goal from Rebecca Staylor in the 55th minute to make it 1-0. The Battling Bishops would tack on two more late goals from Hannah Tolson and Logan Bill to beat the Owls. The Bishops defense was on point throughout the entire match, outshooting the Owls 14-1.
Warren Wilson is now 2-2 on the season and will open up the home portion of the 2014 season on Saturday afternoon against Salem College. Game time at the soccer fields is at 3:00 PM.
