Owls lose their first game of the season at home to William Peace 3-0.

William Peace brought an agressive attacking side to Western North Carolina and the Owls were under the gun all afternoon. The Pacers outshot the Owls 23-3. Keeper Jose Pablo did his best to limit the damage and the Owls and Pacers were tied 0-0 after the opening 45 minutes of play.

In the second half the Pacers were able to capitalize on their chances and took a 1-0 lead in the 53rd minute on an unassisted goal by Alex Donadio. The Pacers answered with another in the 65th minute off the foot of Chris Deleon. The Owls legs started to wear late in the game which allowed William Peace to get an insurance goal in the 84th minute when Jon Cabe found Andrew Suarez to make it 3.0

The win for the Pacers is the first in program history. William Peace started their soccer program last season.

The Owls will have another opportunity to pick up their first win of the season in just a few days. Next up for Warren Wilson is another home match against USC-Lancaster on Labor Day. Start time is scheduled for 4 pm on Monday at the soccer fields and will be available on YouTube.
