Asheville, NC - Warren Wilson Owls went up against NCCAA D1 team, Bob Jones University and came away with a huge victory. It brings the Fighting Owls overall record to 13-10.
It was an exciting game thanks to the energy and effort that the Wilson players showed on the defensive side of the ball.
The game began with a great run from the Owls but Bob Jones would catch up by the half time buzzer and tie the game, 33-33.
The second half was full of offensive power for the Owls led by Tyler Triplett who stepped up to score 18 points, while collecting 6 rebounds and 1 block. He would go 4-4 from behind the arc on the night.
Rashad Ali earned his eighth double-double on the year with 16 points and 11 boards.
Ty Johnson continued his defensive intensity while also scoring 15 points, grabbing 4 boards and dropping 3 assists.
Timmy Johnson added a solid 14 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds.
It was a battle throughout but the Owls would get the win, 74-64.
The Owls quickly look to Piedmont International who comes to Warren Wilson, February 4, 2014 at 7:00pm.
