Warren Wilson wins third of the year at home in a 75-68 drubbing of Greensboro.
The Pride dominated the opening five minutes of the game forcing several Owls turnovers en route to a 20-5 lead. But the Owls climbed back slowly and finished the first half on a 30-6 run to take a 35-31 lead into the locker room.
Greensboro continued to struggle from the field in the second half as the Owls pushed the lead out to 12 mid-way through the second half. The Owls held the lead until late when a technical and personal foul were both called on Justin Gonyea, which led to four makes from the free throw line by Devan Gregory. But the Owls would hold off the late rally and improve to 6-4 on the year.
The Owls dominated the boards against the Pride, 45-22. Warren Wilson outshot Greensboro 47% to 42% in the game. Both teams combined for 65 free throw attempts. Warren Wilson hit 21-25 while Greensboro hit 20-30.
The Owls were led by Justin Gonyea who finished with a season-best 27 points on 6-9 from the field and 11-15 from the free throw line. Ty Johnson, Danilo Radonjic and Thomas Hay each had 10 points. Hay and Radonjic combined for 13 rebounds.
