Owls fall for the first time at home this season, 66-62 to the Eagles of Toccoa Falls.
The Eagles led from start to finish in the game, outshooting the Owls 54% to 36%. Toccoa led by as many as 13 and led by 11 with just over a minute to go in the game. Warren Wilson showed no quit however and made a late run 11-4 to make things interesting. Danilo Radonjic got a put back to make it 64-62 with eight seconds left, but Eagles Josh Barrett made both free throws on an Owls foul to seal the win for Toccoa.
Despite the loss the Owls out-rebounded the Eagles 37-26. The Owls had 16 offensive rebounds. Josh Barrett led Toccoa with 16 points. For the Owls Ty Johnson scored 17 and Justin Gonyea finished with 13 points.
Warren Wilson will be back in action tomorrow on the road at Pfeiffer at 4:00 pm.
