The Owls take care of Crown College 5-4 in a thrilling send-off for four Owls' seniors.

The final home game for Enrique Timas, Graham Wikinson, Will Major and Chris Hawley couldn't have gotten off to a better start for the Owls. Warren Wilson dominated Crown College in the early going with shot after shot just grazing the posts.

Marley Howard seemed determined to send the seniors off in winning fashion with two quick goals, in the 17th and 20th minutes. Landon Dillingham picked up the assist on Howard's second goal as the Owls held a commanding 2-0 lead.

The last 15 minutes of the first 45 would belong to Crown, however. Ben Harris scored Crowns first goal in the 32nd and Ryan Williamson would level the match at 2-2 in the 40th. Then Adarsha Gurung scored just before the half to give Crown a 3-2 lead.

The Owls came out of the half determined, with the seniors taking control. 20 seconds into the final 45, Timas hit Graham Wilkinson who scored his second goal of the season. The lead would be short lived, however as Crown was awarded a penalty kick four minutes later. Gurung was able to best Owls keeper Jose Pablo to put Crown back on top 4-3.

The Owls regained control of the match in the 53rd when Carlos Howard scored his second of the year.

Then, fittingly, in the 79th minute Timas scored what would prove to be the game winner after his shot deflected off a Crown defender.

The Owls are now 5-3 in their last eight games. The celebration will be short, however, as the Owls finish 2014 tomorrow on the road against Toccoa Falls.
