Henderson's 28 Points Leads Owls To Victory

Asheville, NC - Dani Henderson scored 28 points on 13 of 19 shooting to lead the Warren Wilson women's basketball team to a 69-49 victory over Toccoa Falls Tuesday night.

Toccoa Falls jumped out to an early 10-2 after the first five minutes, but Dani Henderson answered with 13 straight Warren Wilson points to give the Owls their first lead at 15-12. A Suzie Ashford jump shot and Jacina Hall three-point field goal expanded the lead even further to 11 with four minutes to play in the first half. Toccoa made a push to end the half, but Henderson answered again with a three-point field goal in the final minute leading the Owls to a 36-28 halftime lead.

Hall and Ashford teamed up a second time to start the second half with a jumper by Hall and a three-point field goal by Ashford. The Owls continued to add to the lead and pushed it to a game-high 25 points with six minutes to play after a Brogan O'Brien jump shot.

Henderson scored 22 of her 28 points in the first half to lead Warren Wilson. Hall finished with 15 points and eight rebounds while Ashford scored 11. Warren Wilson limited Toccoa to just 34% shooting for the game including 27% in the second half.

The Owls go for their fourth consecutive win on Thursday at Johnson University at 7:00 p.m.
