Roanoke, VA - The Warren Wilson women's basketball team was held to just 36% shooting in a 77-57 defeat to Hollins University on Friday night.
Hollins started the game on a 20-6 run and never looked back. Warren Wilson cut the lead to 14 late in the first half but costly turnovers did not allow the Owls to get any closer.
Dani Henderson scored 17 points to lead the Owls and Jacina Hall added 16 and seven rebounds. The Owls shot it well from three-point range connecting on eight of 22 three-point attempts while Hollins made just three of 18. Despite the three-point shooting advantage, Warren Wilson could not overcome 22 turnovers and 19 offensive rebounds by Hollins.
The Owls will look to snap a three game losing streak on Tuesday night at Piedmont International. Warren Wilson defeated Piedmont International earlier this season in Asheville by a score of 65-46.
