TOCCOA FALLS, G.A. -- The men's soccer team was on the road again this week as they faced off against Toccoa Falls College on September 13. Despite dominating the game they returned without a win, dropping the game 0-1 to the Eagles. The win improved the Eagles to 3-4 on the year, and dropped the Warren Wilson Owls to 1-5 overall.

The first half of the match was played with both sides attempting to break down the opponent's back line with contrasting styles of play. The Owls played a more direct style, trying to find their forwards making runs towards goal while the Toccoa Falls Eagles played more defensively while attempting to hold possession of the ball.

Despite the Owls having much of the possession and shots, the score sheet remained empty in the first half. The score remained even until the 69th minute, when TFC's junior forward Mike Howell scored on a counter attack. Howell connected on a long through ball from freshman Sully Adams to finish the eventual game-winning goal.

The Owls out-shot the Eagles, 23-12 on the night. WWC's goalkeeper, Vid Francis was credited with 9 saves in the game and TFC's goalkeeper, Elijah Smith, had 5 saves.

The Owls will play home to West Virigina Institute of Technology, on Saturday, September 22nd.
