Warren Wilson College

Angelica Rodriguez is the first Head Women’s Rugby Coach at Warren Wilson College. Warren Wilson Women’s Rugby will officially begin their first season Fall 2023 competing against NCAA D3 and NIRA programs. 

Before coming to Warren Wilson, Angelica was a D2 student athlete at Queens University of Charlotte. In her senior year, she and her team won the D2 NIRA National Championship. Angelica concluded her time at Queens by earning a degree in exercise and sport science, while serving as a strength and conditioning intern, and coaching her fellow student-athletes. 

Angelica holds World Rugby Level 1 coaching and referee certifications, a ISSA personal training certification, and has served in a variety of professional capacities while hosting various national and regional rugby events. 

Born and raised in Warsaw, Indiana, Angelica graduated from Warsaw Community High School. She competed in Rugby all four years and Basketball for one year. 

Angelica currently resides in Asheville with her dog, Olivia.
