The Warren Wilson Owls faced off once again against Averett University in a rematch, but despite a strong individual performance, the Owls came up short, falling 0-3. Despite the defeat, there were several key performances that showcased the team's continued effort and resilience.
Tobin Vignos once again took charge offensively, leading the Owls with 8 kills in the match. His powerful attacks were a consistent threat throughout, but Averett's defense proved tough to break down, limiting Vignos' ability to fully take over the match. Jude Edward Dunlap was instrumental in running the offense, dishing out a team-high 15 assists. His ability to set up plays helped create offensive opportunities for the Owls, keeping the team in the game despite the challenges they faced on the court. Dunlap also played a key role defensively, contributing 7 digs to help keep Averett's attacks at bay. His well-rounded performance kept the Owls competitive, but ultimately, Averett's balanced play proved too much to overcome.
Despite the 0-3 loss, the Owls continue to show growth, with Vignos leading the attack and Dunlap contributing both offensively and defensively. As the season progresses, the Owls will look to build on these individual efforts to get back in the win column.
