Owls Swimming make strides at William Peace University

Cary, NC - The Owls opened up the first session of the William Peace University Fall Invite Saturday evening.

Setting the tone for the Owls weekend, Tabby Spyrison and Mara Trowbridge started the meet off strong in the 500 free. Trowbridge went a 6:18.65 to secure 5th place, followed closely by Spyrison's 6th place finish in a time of 6:19.28, a season-best.

Will Baker followed with an incredible 4th place finish in the 200 IM in a season-best time of 2:14.51.

Chloe Bloom and Katie Cornish lit it up in the 50 free, both swimming personal best times. Spyrison also swam the 50 free, finishing in 9th place with a time of 29.56.

Rounding out the evening, Chance Bushnell and Miguel Santos-Garcia swam the 50 free, where Bushnell dropped over 4 seconds and Santos-Garcia dropped over 12 seconds, both season and personal records.
