Virginia Beach, VA- The Warren Wilson Owls cross country teams finished off a successful season today with a strong showing at the USCAA National Championships.
The Owls men's team also had a good race, placing 5th out of 16 teams. Once again they were led by sophomore Julian Rohn-Cappellaro who came in 8th overall in a time of 27:37. This won him a spot in the Second Team All American for the second year running. Junior Sam Moore was next in for the team with a 29:24 on the 8K course. Freshman Nikki Bova-Ingraffia also had a strong showing running 29:56, while sophomore Ian Heaps and freshman Sam Colston were only three seconds apart running 30:35 and 30:38 respectively. Freshman Malcolm Mitchell-Bennett worked hard for a personal best time finishing in 43:03. Similar to the women in their view of the race, the men said "it was great." Coach Hills agreed, saying "that both teams raced very well today and it was a great way to end our season."
