Greenville, S.C. - The Warren Wilson cross country teams enjoyed the cool conditions in Greenville, S.C today and ran well on the Bob Jones University wet course after a lot of rain on Friday.
The women ran first and were led by senior Sophie Willihnganz, who finished in a time of 22:10, overcoming the tough conditions for 16th place overall. Ellie Goldstein was next in for the Owls, completing the 5K course in 23:38. Kiersten Keith-Pedersen close behind in 24:10. EllaJane Nelson was the next in at 26:43, with Emme Mcmanus rounding out the scoring for the top five running 27:46. Ellei Burmeister came in at 28:24, and Sasha Pitkofsky finished off the team effort out for the Owls running 30:26.
The teams are continuing to get stronger and look forward to competing at the USCAA National Championships, November 9 in Virginia Beach.
