Owl Swim Team Makes a Splash on Day Two

Orlando, FL - The Owls are competing well after day two of the Sun Coast Swimming  Conference Championships. The finals session began with a series of 200 Free relays from both the womens and mens team. The women's team of Sarah Scott, Lucy Thompson, Sierra Belle and Mara Trowbridge earned a 10th place finish with a time of 2:11.51. The mens team of Malcolm Mitchell-Bennett, Alie Covington, Michael Nowak, and Alex Ardagna finished 7th with a time of 2:01.67.

In their individual events the Owls were able to excel as well. Ardagna placed 10th in his 200 Free improving his time by 12 seconds. Scott solidified her spot on the podium with an 8th place finish in the 100 Breastroke with a time of 1:36.21. Mitchell-Bennett also did well in the 100 Breastroke with a 9th place finish and a time of 1:29.80. Trowbridge and Thompson had successful swims in the 100 Backstroke earning 11th and 13th place finishes with times of 1:10.87 and 1:24.57 respectively.
