Sewanee, GA - The Warren Wilson Swim Team made their season debut at the Sewanee Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Junior Alie Covington began his season with a success. Swimming the 50 Breastroke with a time of 57.50, the 50 Freestyle with a time of 33.00, and the 100 Free with a time of 1:18.90. Both his 50 Free and 100 Freestyle are significant improvements from his times this time last season.
Sophomore Zac Dickerson started off his season well with two excellent races. He started off the weekend with the 100IM, finishing with a time of 1:12.90 and then sprinted his way to a 28.21 in his 50 Freestyle.
Sophomore Brittan Hullinger started off her first meet as an owl with three great races. She completed the 50 Breastroke with a time of 46.22, the 50 Freestyle with a 34.74 and the 100 Breastroke with a 1:43.45.
Freshman Lucy Thompson made her college swimming debut with four solid swims. She began Friday's session with a splash in her 100IM finishing with a time of 1:26.44. Saturday she continued with the 100 Backstoke with a time of 1:28.74, the 100 Freestyle with a 1:16.39, and the 200IM with a 3:17.62.
The Owls will compete again this Saturday November 4th in Milligan TN against Milligan College and Mars Hill University.
